I found them to be a little doughy-tasting... was not very impressed overall. Made only half a recipe but still ended up with 12 buns in my regular muffin tin, which were a perfect size for an afternoon sugar craving. I’ve also made it using a Greek yogurt instead of buttermilk, and it worked well. The recipe is worth another try with fewer bananas or additional flour. I found this was inaccurate as the suggested oven temp did (F) not work as suggested (yes I use an oven thermometer). I also found that the sugar didn't get incorporated as well here as it does in a pie. They were edible but nothing I would want to make again. An wonderful book full of delicious recipes and an abundance of baking knowledge and know-how. Have yet to try out the recipes but the instructions look clear. Perhaps I underbaked it because the loaf had wet, mushy areas. I now use her banana bread & carrot cake as my go to recipes.
